The sky’s the limit for Kingsley School student Georgina Coles of Bubbenhall, pictured right, who has achieved three Grade As at A Level and is going on to study aeronautics and astronautics at Southampton University.
Georgina, who passed exams in Physics, Maths and Geography, has proved she is a high flier – a good omen for her chosen degree course!
Fellow Kingsley student Lucy French, of Leamington Spa, also achieved three Grade As in Music, English Language & Literature and Latin, and has won a place at The Birmingham Conservatoire. A talented cellist, she is a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and has been a pupil at Kingsley since the age of four.
Being dyslexic hasn’t held back former Head Girl Lucinda Murphy (also pictured), who achieved A grades in English Language & Literature, History, and Religion, Ethics & Philosophy and plans to have a gap year before applying to university.
Another straight A student, Sophie Mobberley of Hatton, is looking forward to starting a degree in Managing Performance at Leeds University.
Year 12 students at Kingsley are also celebrating after achieving a nearly 20 per cent increase in Grades A and B at AS Level.
“Kingsley Sixth Formers have once again reaped the rewards of their hard work and thoroughly deserve their success. I am particularly pleased with the AS results which bode very well for next year’s A Level results and reflect the trend of ongoing improvement in all aspects of Kingsley life,” says Head teacher Ms Heather Owens.
