One of world theatre’s most respected and sought-after directors, Adrian Noble, has found time in his busy schedule to take up the position of President of the Board of Governors at Kingsley.
Mr Noble’s two children were Kingsley Junior School pupils during the late 1990s when he was Artistic Director at The Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford upon Avon. They now attend a school in Oxford, near the family home, but Mr Noble has maintained his connection with Kingsley, returning in the past to speak at the annual prize giving ceremony.
“I am very pleased and honoured to be asked to take on this role at Kingsley, which is an excellent school. My children had marvellous teachers and were very happy there,” he says.
Mr Noble, who has received 20 Olivier Award nominations during his career, spends most of his time working in Europe or America. He is looking forward to visiting the school and meeting new Head teacher Ms Heather Owens when he is next in the UK.
