A challenging day for Year 9

On 9 October the whole of Year 9 went on a brilliant expedition to the World Challenge Centre in Bromsgrove. The excitement in the coach was palpable during the hour-long coach journey, and not just because of the variety of sweets on board!

When we arrived, Head of Year Mrs Duke divided us up into four groups and we headed off with the Bromsgrove leaders. There were many team building activities such as the electrical spider web, the water swamp, sheep and shepherd and making a tee-pee, which were great fun.

After a lovely lunch we encountered the leap of faith! Each girl had to climb to the top of a very tall pole, wearing a harness, and then step off the wobbly platform. After that, we went up the Jacob's ladder in pairs. For some us it was quite easy, but for others it was a bit tricky!

Everyone had an awesome day and we really want to go back soon. Thank you very much to our teachers and to the Bromsgrove staff - it was AMAZING!
