Year 11 students enjoyed an action packed workshop on their GCSE drama text, Journey’s End by R.C Sherriff. This play is set in the First World War trenches in March 1918. Louis Hillyer led a workshop in which students experienced the horror of trench warfare, reacting to bombs and grenades. They discussed the issues of the play and tried to fully appreciate the effect of the terrors on the men, all struggling to cope with the trauma of losing close friends and the terror of their daily lives.
