The Union Flag is flying above Kingsley on a new flag pole installed on the main building to mark the royal wedding.

High Sheriff of Warwickshire, Mr Tim Cox and his wife Penny were guests of honour on Thursday 28 April at a special ceremony to hoist the flag for the first time in the school’s history. The couple then joined pupils and staff for a “street party” in the hall.

A fanfare was played, balloons were released and regulation uniform was suspended for the day so that pupils and staff could wear red, white and blue in celebration of the royal nuptials.

The photos show High Sheriff Tim Cox and his wife Penny Cox with pupils as balloons are released to mark the hoisting of the Union Flag for the first time on Kingsley’s new flag pole; Ellie Walton, Olivia Connelly and Alicia Craven; and Junior School pupils at Kingsley's “street party”.
