Kingsley Old Girls AGM

Members of the Kingsley School Old Girls’ Association travelled from as far away as Scotland, Norfolk and Dorset to attend their Annual General Meeting at the school on September 25th 2010.

Kate Osborne was re-elected as Chairman, as were the other officers, and three new members joined the committee, namely Gill Godwin (Wadland), Caroline Ellis (Richardson) and Niki Wakeman.

After the formalities lunch was served in the school dining room, with a special celebration for members who have had their 70th birthday since the last AGM.

There was a get-together of 14 former pupils who had reached this milestone, including two who were returning to Kingsley for the first time since leaving 52 years ago!

New Headteacher Ms Heather Owens gave a talk and took old girls on a tour of the school. Current Head Girls Lottie Cooper and Lucinda Murphy helped out, especially with the raffle which brought in £93 for the association.
