Musicians in Final of National Music Festival

Eight Kingsley recorder players are members of the County Music Service Tudor Band which has made it through - from thousands of entries - to the Finals of the Ensemble Category in the National Festival of Music for Youth, which takes place on July 4th in the Adrian Boult Hall in Birmingham.

Congratulations to Jessica Ellis (Y3), Eva Healy (Y5), Annabelle Galliford (Y6), Grace Whitley (Y6), Emily Cant (Y7), Charlotte Dennison (Y7), Jess Harper Radley (Y8) and Clara Hofstetter Year (Y10) and Kingsley teacher Mrs Elizabeth Murphy, who directs the band.

The Tudor Band played to great acclaim in the Butterworth Hall, Warwick in March and will also be performing with professional Renaissance Dancers at the beautiful medieval venue of St Mary's Guildhall in Coventry on Sunday, July 8th. The girls will not only be accompanying the dancers but will also be learning some Tudor dances themselves!

Entry for both the band’s forthcoming performances is free and everyone is welcome to attend.
