Mock Interviews

Thursday 25 November

Recently the U6 have had mock interviews to help prepare them for forthcoming university interviews and job interviews in later life.  The prospect of an interview was a worrying thought for most of us, and when the daunting evening came we sat silent and petrified in the common room, ready to be called to our interview.

Once we had met our interviewers, however, the fear dissipated, as they soon put us at ease. Some were specialists in certain fields; others were there to help us gain some interviewing experience.  We all agreed that it was really useful preparation for university interviews, and many of us are now even more motivated to study for our final exams next summer. Nearly all the UCAS forms have been sent off and offers from universities are flying in daily: it’s exciting, but a reminder that the end of our time at Kingsley is fast approaching!

We would like to thank Mr Andrew Jones, Mr Paul Marriott, Mr Phil Robbins, Mr Kevin Leppard, Mr Tony Mawby, Mrs T. Westall and Professor Dan Pennington for giving up their time to help us.
