The end of an era for Year 11

Year 11 marked the start of their study leave for GCSEs with a special assembly celebrating their time at The Kingsley School.

It was an imaginative and emotional swansong before the exams start featuring videos, surprise gifts for teachers, songs, readings – even messages of good luck from celebrities, including the pop singer Olly Murs!

Head teacher Ms Heather Owens used a quote from the play Blue Remembered Hills, which some girls had performed for their GCSE drama exam, as the inspiration for her address and Head of Year 11 Mrs Sharon Morris gave students some points of advice for the future.

After the assembly girls joined their parents for a celebratory lunch before finishing school early to prepare for the Year 11 ball at Honiley Court Hotel later in the evening.
