Time Capsule

Time Capsule

A time capsule containing thirty-three objects was buried in Kingsley’s grounds on Wednesday September 23, 2009. as part of our 125th anniversary celebrations.

The capsule was buried and set in concrete under a stone engraved with “125” by the two youngest girls in the Senior School, Georgina Goode and Georgia Line, both aged 11.

The items were chosen by Junior and Senior School pupils aged 4 - 18 years and ranged from a whole school photograph and an item of uniform to a CD of music and a teddy bear (see the full list below). It would be fascinating to go forward 125 years to see what future pupils and teachers make of the contents of our time capsule!

The whole school attended the ceremony, and then tucked in to a piece of 125 anniversary cake.

Head teacher Mrs Mannion-Watson said: “The time capsule has been a highlight of Kingsley’s 125th anniversary celebrations, because every girl has been involved.”
