Youth Speaks

Monday 22 March

Kingsley entered three teams in the Youth Speaks competition run by Warwick Rotary Club. Teams consisted of three members who were required to demonstrate public speaking skills, work as a team and respond to a question about their topic. The topics chosen were Advertising, Education and War. The Year 8 team consisted of Katie Maxwell, Charlotte Barrow and Jess Cave. The Year 10 teams were Sophie Hiorns, Hattie Hansen, Jasmine Tooke and Vicky Inchley, Verity Proctor Smith and Zara Heathcote.

The girls presented their topics in assembly first, in order to practise in front of an audience, then competed on a bitterly cold evening in St Nicholas Church. All the participants performed with great assurance and confidence and were a great credit to the school.
