Déjeuner Français, June 06
Year 6 and 7 girls were treated by language staff to a traditional French lunch on Tuesday 13 June. Fortunately the sun was shining and it wasn’t as hot as it had been. We had French bread and cheeses, tomatoes and green and red grapes. The food was delicious and we were lucky enough to drink Orangina!

The tricky part was asking for our food in French. No French; no food! Fortunately, Mr Stickels was on hand to help us with our French and remind us to say “Je voudrais” or “Merci beaucoup”!

One of the most enjoyable parts of the lunch was the chance for some of the Year 7s to chat to old friends from the Junior School, and it gave the Year 6 girls the opportunity to ask questions about life in the Senior School. The lunch went extremely well and everyone appreciated the change from going to the dining room. It was a lovely way to finish off Year 7!
