Red Nose Day

Congratulations to pupils and staff on a fantastic effort to raise money on Red Nose Day! The total raised was £1134.21.

The Senior School held a lunchtime cake sale. Girls paid for the privilege of wearing hats and red accessories for the day, and there was a sea of red tops in the staff room! Head of Art Miss Smethurst sold red squares of material which she and a band of helpers put together in the garden, with the following result:

The Junior School and Early Years Centre held a toy and game swap shop on Wednesday 14 March, with children paying  £1 to bring in a toy or game and swap it for a new one.  Friday 16 March was Fabulous Fun Hair Friday, where the children paid 50p to wear a wacky hairstyle.  There were some marvellously imaginative creations!  There was also a Red Nose Cake Sale, where school cooks and Transition mums made and sold delightful red nose cakes, gingerbread teddies and flapjacks.  Miss Tilley would like to express her thanks to all those who made cakes and biscuits or helped out on the stall.

Thank you to everyone at Kingsley for their generosity!
