Nursery and Reception had a super trip to Umberslade Farm this month. The children all helped to feed some lovely young calves, using an udder bucket. We met a very friendly cart horse, some cows, pigs, hens, sheep, rabbits, a duckling and a baby chick. We found out why pigs have a ring through their nose, as well as enjoying a hay cart ride across the fields, where we stopped to role play being sheep. We now know the difference between straw and hay and what they are used for. Our last treat was a visit to the adventure playground, where great fun was had by all.
