Year 3 pupils had a wonderful day at Leicester's New Walk Museum last month. As part of their history topic on Ancient Egypt, they participated in an Ancient Egyptian workshop, which involved lots of different hands-on activities as well as finding out about this amazing civilization. The pupils were able to make clay amulets, dress up, practise their bow-drilling skills and place (fabric) body organs into canopic jars. they were also able to handle real artefacts and guess what they were used for. One of the bowls was over 4000 years old! S Jones
