Kingsley Riding News

At the end of last term, our show jumpers competed very successfully at a new indoor show jumping event at Moreton Morrell.  Our team of Anna Green, Lucy Hiorns, Laura Morisot and Zoë Williams came first in the Intermediate Class and second in the Open Class.  Zoë won individual first place in both classes.

Kingsley/Princethorpe Show Jumping and Dressage Events

Thirteen Kingsley girls took part in the Kingsley/Princethorpe equestrian events on the weekend of 19th and 20th April.  Despite miserable weather we had a successful time, particularly in the show jumping on Sunday, when, from a class of 80 competitors, our teams came 2nd, 3rd and 8th.  In the individual competition, Anna Green came first, Laura Morisot second, Jessica Beards seventh and Fabia Hobday eighth.  On the Saturday in the show jumping and dressage competition several girls were placed in their classes.

Our grateful thanks go to Mrs Pippa Williams, our trainer, and Mrs Lou Hiorns, who organised an excellent lunch for the dressage judges.

Future Events

 - We shall be competing at the Gawcott cross-country event on Monday 5th May.

 - The annual two day event, organised jointly by Kingsley, Princethorpe College and Stoneleigh Riding Club, will take place on the weekend of 24th and 25th May at Offchurch Bury.  This demanding competition consists of dressage and show jumping on the first day and roads and tracks, steeplechase and cross country on the second.
