On Thursday 12 June Year 7 girls went to Bosworth battlefield, where there is an impressive new visitors' centre. As well touring the battlefield and learning about Henry Tudor's successful challenge to King Richard III, the girls had the opportunity to wear armour, try out weapons and learn from a 'medieval' soldier the grim details of warfare in 1485. Fortunately the rain held off till we were back on the coach, and a good day was had by all.
