A fantastic sum of £615 has been raised by Year 7 girls over the last few months in memory of their friend Melissa Smith, who passed away from leukaemia in December 2007.  Melissa was a pupil at Kingsley from 2002 - 2007 and is sadly missed by all who knew her.

Some of the money has been used to purchase a beautiful bench inscribed with Melissa's name. The bench was very kindly made for us at cost by John Caldwell, father of Kingsley pupils Hannah and Emma (click here to go to Mr Caldwell's website http://www.forsyth4.co.uk) It was installed in the garden this week, where it is taking pride of place; girls are enjoying basking in the sunshine while sharing fond memories of their time with Melissa. We think she would be thrilled that there is a bench in her honour which provides her friends with a place to chat and plan their next shopping trip!
