The Friends of Kingsley is a parent-run association registered with the Charity Commission.
The object of the association, as written in its constitution, is to advance the education of pupils in the school by providing and assisting in the provision of resources and facilities. The association also aims to foster good relationships between staff and parents.
The work of the association is administered by a committee elected at the AGM held annually in October. Members consist of Chairman, Treasurer and other elected members. The Headteacher and the Deputy Head (Pastoral) are ex-officio members. Meetings of the committee take place every three to five weeks during the school term.
The committee raises £5,000 – £10,000 a year through fund-raising events such as discos, Halloween parties and Christmas Fairs, and the voluntary annual donation from parents. This parental subscription is added to the autumn term’s fees and is administered by the school finance office. The plan this year is to make best use of the annual subscriptions with the introduction of Gift Aid. Parents will receive a form with the details: we should appreciate your completing and returning it to school.

Requests for resources are made to the Friends of Kingsley by members of the school during the summer term. Recent purchases have included a specialist computer, interactive whiteboards, digital equipment and media resources.
The association offers members an excellent opportunity to meet other parents and staff socially in a friendly, relaxed setting.
